Yes, the fork mounts are compatible. They have a corresponding shaped body. For special installation situations, such as a much deeper-lying rear wheel it can be tight, then gives an extender more space.
The transportable "unit" is attached with a standard quick release on the crossbar. So, if your recumbent bike has a standard quick release fork and it fits into the vehicle it works. Of couse also recumbent bikes with 15mm or 20mm through axles can be fixed to the fork mount with adapters or extenders.
Yes and no, you can fix bikeswith 20mm, 15mm and 1wmm through axle forks to the fork mounts with the througle axle adapter or extenders. We do not have a adapter for the Cannondale Lefty.
